CLI Options
Inbound Caller ID options
See who’s calling or which number they dialled
With a virtual phone number from Number People you can either see the inbound caller ID OR the number dialled when answering an inbound call that has been forwarded to a destination telephone number.
Inbound caller ID options allow you to make a decision on how you wish to see inbound calls and are able to quickly determine how to answer the call.
If you elect to display the inbound callers ID then these will be limited to displaying calls coming originating from the UK only, and any non-UK or malformed caller ID’s will display the number dialled instead.
Customers using our VoIP option to receive inbound calls will be able view all inbound caller ID’s by default, including non-UK telephone numbers.
Don’t forget that as well as being able to see the incoming caller ID or the number dialled, you can also track calls via the live call log on the portal.
How do I change this option?
Swapping between the 2 options is done via the ACCOUNT SETTINGS option on the portal where you can easily switch between showing the inbound CLI or seeing the virtual number instead.
