VoIP/SIP for new users

VoIP (also known as SIP) allows you to make and receive calls over an internet connection rather than forwarding them to a mobile or landline network. This is a cost-effective and flexible solution, perfect for users working remotely or wanting to keep personal numbers private.

👉 Please note: During the free trial, accounts are inbound-only. Outbound calling is only enabled once you fully activate your account with a top-up.

Each VoIP user is just ÂŁ2.50 per month and includes a 60-minute outbound call bundle. If you select to receive calls via VoIP on signup, then we will add one VoIP user free for the first month, giving you time to try it out and start receiving unlimited inbound calls.

We recommend setting up your VoIP user using our Cloud Softphone app on your mobile. It’s fast and simple. Once you’ve registered, just log in to your customer portal, go to the VoIP/SIP Users section, and scan the QR code to activate your device.

However, you’re not limited to our app. VoIP users can also be set up on a wide range of VoIP-compatible devices — including 3rd party softphones, VoIP handsets, and ATA boxes, using the SIP settings provided in your customer portal.

If you’d rather not use VoIP and prefer to forward calls to a mobile or landline instead, you can easily remove the VoIP user under the Services section in your online portal.

Please note: If you are using an 080 freephone number, inbound calls to VoIP are charged at 7.5p per minute.
