What is the temporary / holiday closed feature?

Temporary closed service lets you select a date range to close and then re-open your number and allows you to choose what happens when you are closed – it comes in really handy for times like bank holidays and Christmas periods.

You can choose to either send calls to a ring group, which is perfect if you want to offer and “out of hours” service and then call can ring a different number/s or voip users who can deal with the call.

You can also use this in conjunction with voicemail, so that all calls during your closed period can be captured via voicemail and the messages which have been left can be emailed to you, allowing you to listen to them anytime.

Closed rules can be set on a per number basis, so you can control closed times per number, perfect if you have multiple businesses with different opening hours or service levels for out of hours support.

You will find that we have already pre-made the most commonly used closed times, like Christmas and New Years day – you can just select one of these and it will automatically create the rule for you.

For any days you want to create yourself, simply select the month, date and time you want to close and use the same method for your re-open time.

Closed periods can be set for up to 12 months ahead so you can go ahead and make sure that all bank holidays etc are covered well in advance.
