Call Whisper plays a short, spoken message to you (not the caller) before the call connects, letting you know which number was dialled or where the call is coming from. It’s ideal if you’re handling multiple numbers, campaigns, or businesses from one phone, so you can answer each call appropriately and professionally.
Custom Call Whisper is completely free. Once you have created your free account, simply log in to your customer portal and activate the feature on any call forwarding group. There is no need for any additional hardware or complicated setup.
If you have just one number forwarding directly to your personal line, such as your home landline or mobile phone, Call Whisper lets you recognise when the call is coming through your virtual line so you can answer professionally.
For those with multiple numbers, perhaps advertising different business ventures, the whisper message can announce the business name that was dialled, helping you greet the caller correctly.
Call Whispers can also be used alongside menu options, allowing you to hear which option the caller pressed (for example, “Support”) and answer the call as the relevant department.
Additionally, Call Whisper is very useful for tracking marketing campaigns by assigning different numbers to various advertising channels like online ads, brochures, or websites. This way, you can immediately know which campaign the caller is responding to.
Creating your call whisper audio is simple. After setting up your free account, log in to the customer portal and navigate to the “Media” section. Here, you can either upload your own audio file or use our free Text-to-Speech studio to create a custom whisper in seconds. The studio allows you to choose male or female voices, select from multiple languages and accents, and preview the audio before saving.
